"Our Town" activities Don't miss Breakfast with Santa on Dec. 13 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at Grantham Town Hall. Come get pancakes, sausage, juice, coffee and milk for only $4 for ages 12 and older; under 11 free with non-perishable food donation. Bring your camera to take photos. Candy canes and a gift for each child. Start 2009 off right by attending the New Year's Eve Family Dance Party on Dec. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Grantham Town Hall. This year's theme: Penguin. Admission is $5 per person with a maximum of $20 per family. Price includes noisemaker, party hat or lei, make-your-own ice cream sundae bar, popcorn, beverages, and a balloon drop and ginger ale toast at "midnight" (7:45). There will be dancing, and everyone can put their name in the drawing to be chosen this year's King and Queen of the New Year. Open House at DFL The Friends of the Dunbar Free Library are sponsoring a Holiday Open House on Wednesday during regular library hours. Stop by and enjoy a holiday treat. Lots of great cookie recipes from some of Grantham's best bakers. Pick one up today.
Eastmanaires perform Holiday Concert The Eastmanaires will be holding their Holiday Concert at The Center at Eastman on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 4 p.m. and on Monday, Dec. 15 at 7:30 p.m. Donations will be accepted at the door. I apologize to anyone who went to The Center last weekend for the concerts.
