Wall Street meets Main Street Croydon
Everyone is wondering how Wall Street fiasco affects their daily lives. Here is an example. As you folks know I am a Trustee of the Trust Fund, along with Judy Cunningham and Bert Smith. While going over the CD’s that we hold that are not maturing we found that 2 out of four CD’s were with banks that no longer exist. The CD’s are FDIC insured, so no money is lost. However they will not mature in 2010 as planned and that affects the interest that we earn on them.
