Historical Clean Up

    On Saturday, June 14 the Croydon Historical Society held a work day after it's monthly meeting.  Pricing items for the society's annual yard sale, general cleaning of the Samuel Morse house in addition to painting the outside fence took place.  The workers were treated to hot dogs, homemade cookies and cakes.   Those who took part in clean up are: Bap Kresse, Cody Kangus, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Phillips, Madeline Dearden, Joyce Jordan, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Richter., Bert Smith, Steve and Jan Mitchell, Sue Smith,  Shirley Kowalczyk, Carol Robinson, Waverly Carucci and Gayle Hedrington.  

    The Samuel Morse house will be opened every Sun. from 1-4 p.m. starting on July 6, 2008.  Tours of the house are free and opened to the public.  Directions: Follow Rt. 10 into the Croydon Village, the yellow house is located across from the Coniston Store.

 Kudos to Croydon Students

    Thirteen children from Croydon attend Towle School, however they managed to get approximately 25% of the awards handed out on Awards Day Fri. June 20. Congratulations to the following students for their achievements.

Rifle Drawing

    Bert Smith is selling raffle tickets for a Ruger 10/22 rifle sporter with a checkered walnut stock with scope mount. Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.  to benefit the Croydon Congregational Church.  Drawing  is July 19, at the churches Chinese Auction.  Call Bert Smith 863-4027 or Bob Kangus at 863-3099.  

   On the Cheap

    How would you like to win a guided New Hampshire fishing trip for 2009?  The catch is you need to have a child 13 years old or younger.  The contest runs from May 1 - September 30 . You need to send a photo of your child and a fish they caught this year.

    Chinese Auction to benefit the Croydon Congregational Church Sat. July 19. 

    PTO meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7 pm in the Croydon Village School

    Every Thursday Bingo at the Croydon Fire Station at 6:30 pm. doors open at 4:30 pm.

    Zoning Board meets every 2nd Monday at 7 pm in the Selectman’s office.

    Planning board meets the 1st Monday of every month at 7:30 pm. in the Selectman’s office.
